Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company, offering expertise in pipeline construction, pipeline maintenance and integrity, facilities construction and maintenance, lease construction, and electrical and instrumentation through its subsidiary, Quantum Controls.

About this opportunity: Quantum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrical Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Canadian electrical code, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of technicians.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be from the Drayton Valley Area.
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in industry as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • 6 years of experience with cost estimation for projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various work locations and sites.
  • Valid driver's License with a clean 3-year driving record.
  • Able to work in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deal with high demands.
  • Professional with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
  • Good computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ability to meet short deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Preference: Given to those individuals who currently have the following.

  • Certified Master Electrician.
  • Experience with Instrumentation trade.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently schedule work & dispatch equipment, and employees in an organized manner.
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and management.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations and job requirements.
  • Coordinate current and upcoming crews, supplies, and equipment needs with supervisors.
  • Organize and provide details of the materials for crew members and supervisors to perform the job.
  • Assist office administration with review and monitoring of field tickets for completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
  • Assist with project estimation and submit a quotation request for customers.
  • Maintain a call list of employees and contractors.
  • Assist with hiring and orientations/training.
  • Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Respond to inquiries and process incoming calls and orders.
  • Contacting current customers and identifying new products and services.
  • Providing product/service information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes.
  • Entering orders into the system and closing orders.
  • Ensuring that customers are satisfied with products, pricing, deliveries, and overall service.
  • Sourcing materials for customers/crew members when currently not in stock.
  • Arranging deliveries or pickup of materials and parts.
  • Opening new accounts, obtaining PO#, and submitting receipts.
  • Warehouse organization and material tracking.
  • Ensuring and enforcing compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards, and regulations.
  • Work with the HSE department to complete monthly inspections and audits.
  • Other job duties as required, as the above duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
