Position Summary
This role involves working on equipment and systems that require insulation to improve energy efficiency, prevent heat loss, and ensure safety. The position requires expertise in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications to determine insulation needs, selecting appropriate materials, and installing insulation on pipes, ducts, boilers, tanks, and other industrial systems.
Other responsibilities:

• Apply, remove, and repair thermal and insulation materials.
• Read/interpret drawings and specifications to determine the insulation needs.
• Select the appropriate type and quantity of insulation to install, along with the method for securing it (e.g., pin welding, wiring, banding, taping), based on factors such as surface shape, temperature (hot or cold), location (indoor or outdoor), and the equipment's intended use.
• Measure and cut insulation materials and coverings to fit the required shape and size, including adapting insulation around obstacles or shaping materials and protective coverings as needed.
• Install vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces with materials such as metal cladding, canvas, PVC, or cement.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Journeyman insulator red seal ticket (equivalent proof of hours also accepted).
• Registered apprentice ticket (equivalent proof of hours also accepted).
• Minimum 3 years experience in Industrial Insulation.
• Must have CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, ESC EWP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A team player with strong people skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing situations.
• Skilled in multitasking and effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and demands.
• Capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
