Reporting to the VP, Innovation and IT, the Community Manager will lead engagement of Advocis members in our online communities to ensure a high degree of engagement and collaboration in support of enhanced member value. Important aspects of this function are supporting our volunteer leaders in 34 Advocis chapters across Canada. This role will be accountable for ensuring centralization onto key platforms for governance, and fostering continuity across Advocis digital communities. Communication between project stakeholders and champions is essential.

Our team is currently working on a hybrid schedule (2 days in the office, 3 days from home). This may change based on operational needs.
Responsibilities include:
Building and growing our new Advocis Digital Communities using the Higher Logic platform
Supporting our Chapter Central portal using the iMIS platform to engage our 34 volunteer chapter networks across Canada
Administration of our Committee and Chapter governance communities using the Onboard platform
Support Advocis in promoting awards programs and special events such as Financial Literacy Month within digital communities.
Liaison with accounting, events, communications and other teams to integrate information and promotions within our communities and platforms
Promote migration from public social media channels to the member digital communities
Support member data to ensure accurate access to digital community tools (iMIS/CRM)
Engaging personably with Chapter volunteer teams across Canada.
Provide relevant reporting to project stakeholders and champions.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
CCM Certified Community manager or comparable certification is an asset
5 years related experience, preferably in the association or not for profit sector
Knowledge of Higher Logic, Diligent Board Books, OnBoard, Wordpress, iMIS platforms are assets
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
Ability to work cross functionally with various stakeholder groups
Demonstrated community management and growth skills
