Job Description

Job Title: Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Analyst, Physical Security Bilingual (English and French)

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: 12 Hour, Continental Shifts, 6 Week Rotation. 24/7 Availability is required. It is an in office position with no remote hours.

Salary: $36.00 / hr. to start with incremental increases based on tenure, performance and completion of courses

Main Responsibilities:

The GSOC Analyst is a member of thec (GSOC) team and previous experience is not needed to apply for this position. We're looking for a diverse group of people to join the Global Security Operations Centre. The team is stronger when we have people with a wide range of skills and experiences. Do you have experience in a call centre, composing communications, or enjoy working with a team? Then you should consider applying.

As a member of the team, you will contribute directly to its growth. The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, and be an effective communicator who is capable of working in both a team environment and independently.

The GSOC is the 24/7 intake and triage for physical security occurrences at CIBC. The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, and be an effective communicator who is capable of working in a fast-paced team environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal team members, adjacent teams, and external partners
  • Strong leader who owns their work and has an eye for continuous improvement
  • Working in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts in office (no remote work)
  • Remote monitoring and triage of physical security occurrences, including vandalism, vagrancy, and intrusion alarms
  • Being adaptable in the face of changing business needs
  • Quality assurance. This may include testing random samplings of output created by processes to ensure established quality standards and benchmarks are consistently being met
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal team members, adjacent teams, clients, and external partners
  • Ensuring the Enterprise Physical Security System is being used effectively and according to standards; if it is not, working with site staff and Enterprise teams to find a resolution;
  • Being adaptable and flexible in the face of changing business needs.

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate the following skills and characteristics:

  • Bilingual - fluent in both English and French
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically;
  • Compilation, analysis, and presentation of reports. The ability to interpret and present data in a professional and polished manner;
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships of trust with internal and external clients;
  • Adaptable and able to learn new software applications/programs quickly and effectively;
  • Focused on continuously improving both the program and yourself;
  • Strong time-management, and the ability to prioritize and manage their own work to ensure quality and efficiency (i.e. meet deadlines; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities, etc.);
  • Participate fully as a member of the team and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • A candidate would benefit from having experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
