Position Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accounting Associate is a professional, organized and detail-oriented individual responsible for completing a variety of daily and monthly administrative accounting tasks, including posting, reconciliation and reporting. The Intermediate Accounting Associate works closely with various stakeholders in the accounting team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and timely with a high degree of accuracy. This is a fully time role based out of the Head Office at Dueck on Marine.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Post vehicle sales into the PBS accounting system

Review vehicle deal documentation and coordinate/resolve discrepancies

Assist with vehicle inventory audits

Analyze vehicle costs, revenues, and gross profits

Reconcile accounting-related schedules

Vehicle flooring, payouts, and chattels

Assist with month-end and year-end close

Other accounting and administrative duties and responsibilities as necessary to support company's business and operations

Skills and Qualifications:

2+ years of accounting experience in the automotive retail industry (posting vehicle deals)

Strong proficiency with Excel and MS Office

Strong organizational and time management skills with good attention to detail

Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively and cohesively with various stakeholders

Flexible and adaptable to organizational change with strong aptitude for continuous learning

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$60,000 - $70,000 per annum
