GrainFox, an Agtech SaaS solution, is seeking a skilled and driven Business Development Representative to join our team and fuel our growth.
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), the Business Development Representative (BDR) will serve as the primary point of contact for potential producer customers. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, qualifying leads, prospecting existing accounts, and fostering strong customer relationships. Collaborating cross functionally, the BDR will execute sales strategies to identify high conversion sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs and sales targets set forth by the company.
- Identify super users and customer advocates for product feedback, beta groups and customer success stories.
Lead Generation & Client Outreach:
- Identify and qualify potential trials in the funnel through account review, outreach, and engagement strategies.
- Exceeding outreach goals by initiating calls, showcasing the value proposition of GrainFox.
- Record all call notes in Salesforce to ensure consistency and continuity.
Product Knowledge:
- Proficiently present and provide full demo of GrainFox.
- Maintain in-depth understanding of GrainFoxs products and services.
- Assist clients with inputting data into their account.
- Work closely with Marketing and product teams to share client feedback for process and system development.
Program Knowledge:
- Stay informed in all sales programs, in-market plans and promotions.
- Understand customer journeys and customer sales cycle.
Sales Support:
- Meet customer SLAs (Service Level Agreement) as set by the company.
- Handle Level 1 client support requests.
- Have a clear understanding of Service Cloud processes in Salesforce.
- Record all tickets into Service Cloud to ensure consistency and continuity.
Industry Knowledge:
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market insights to contribute valuable insights for the BDR Team.
Education & Qualifications
- 2+ years experience working with inside or direct sales and lead generation (including cold calls), with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of technology marketing (SaaS, IT, or tech products).
- Experience using help desk software, remote support tools, and an understanding of how CRM systems work.
- Ability to work in a fast pace and cross-functional environment.
- Ability to take initiative, own processes, and work independently as required.
- Positive mindset, enthusiasm, and energy.
- Knowledge in grain marketing or agriculture is considered an asset.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Remote position.
- Permanent Canadian resident or legally able to work in Canada.
- Willing to travel and/or work at events outside of regular office hours when required.
