We are on the lookout for an experienced Operation's Manager to help us as we grow.
Summary:
The Operations Manager's responsibilities are to oversees the operations (production and packaging) of the different manufacturing facilities of the company. The focus of this position is to improve performance and efficiency through implementation of effective strategies, ensure a smooth run of daily operations, mitigate and fix any issues.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversees the entire production and packaging operations in all locations.
- Collaborates with the QA/QC department and production and packaging supervisors to ensure the
that the quality standards, GMP and Health & Safety guidelines are being followed.
- Ensure quality products are consistently and efficiently produced to meet the clients and
consumers expectations.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Committee chair to promote safety through work procedures and employee safety programs to prevent any incidents, near misses, or accidents.
- Participate in GMP and Food Safety Audits
- Align with production planners to optimize equipment usage to improve operational performance and maximize production efficiency standards for labour and raw materials.
Requirements are but not limited to:
- Minimum 5 yrs management experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Project Management or combination of experience and education.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes inclusive of quality, logistics and warehouse management
- Mechanical engineering knowledge is a plus.
- ERP/MRP system knowledge
- Strong multitasking skills
- Stong communicator in English, reading, writing, speaking and able to do presentations.
- Highly adaptable and flexible with ever changing priorities

This is a full-time job, Monday - Friday and weekend work when needed. Travel is required between our Richmond, BC based facilities.
