About the Role:

One of our clients is looking for a technically proficient and customer-facing Technical Manager EDW to lead, guide, and oversee the development and testing teams. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of EDW projects, aligning requirements with customer teams, managing risks, and driving technical excellence. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Informatica, Talend, Oracle, and Hadoop and be capable of hands-on contribution when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customer teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical execution plans.
• Align and finalize project plans with customers and internal teams, ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to plans and proactively addressing delays.
• Raise risks and mitigation plans in case of project challenges or blockers.
• Act as a technical mentor for development and testing teams, ensuring they have clear guidance on solutions and best practices.
• Oversee data validation, ETL testing, and performance tuning to ensure high data quality.
• Work with testing teams to define and implement test strategies, automation frameworks, and validation processes.
• Ensure comprehensive unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with teams to analyze defects, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvements in ETL processes and data accuracy.
• Ensure proper implementation of test data management strategies.
• Provide hands-on support in Informatica, Talend, Oracle, and Hadoop when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues faced by development/testing teams.
• Ensure adherence to quality, and best practices in data management.
• Participate in customer discussions, providing updates on progress, issues, and solutions.
• Conduct detailed discussions with customer teams on technical solutions, issues, and status updates.
• Provide hands-on assistance in development, debugging, and testing in critical scenarios.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) domain.
• Experience in Informatica, Talend, Oracle, and Hadoop (Big Data ecosystem).
• Experience in leading technical teams (development & testing).
• Hands-on experience in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide technical solutions.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role, managing stakeholders and technical discussions
