Were hiring a Project Coordinator for a well-established, family-owned custom cabinetry and millwork shop located in the Okanagan region, with decades of industry experience. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager to ensure smooth project execution. You will be responsible for organizing, administering, and controlling project activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines and client expectations. This role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to coordinate logistics, maintain project schedules, and ensure that quality standards are met.

Wage: $60,000-$70,000/annual based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), in office position

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of project coordination experience in construction, millwork, cabinetry, or a related industry is required

  • Strong communication skills for effective email, telephone, and in-person interactions

  • Knowledge of millwork materials (e.g., veneer, wood cores, solid surface, laminate, etc.)

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AWMAC and LEED guidelines

  • Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects

  • Problem-solving abilities to address design or production challenges effectively and adapt to evolving project requirements

  • Valid drivers license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and a criminal background check may be conducted as part of the hiring process

Key Responsibilities:

Pertaining to General Project Coordination, you are accountable for:

  • Supporting the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing projects

  • Coordinating logistics for delivery and installation of millwork components

  • Managing project documentation, including contracts, BOMs, change orders, and meeting notes

  • Assisting the purchaser with pricing and procurement

  • Monitoring project budgets and timelines to ensure on-time delivery

  • Collaborating with shop managers, site coordinators, and installers

  • Contributing to process improvements within the project management team

  • Additional responsibilities may arise as needed

Pertaining to Job Execution, you are accountable for:

  • Confirming project shipping dates and managing schedules accordingly

  • Distributing work orders and coordinating with production teams

  • Creating packing lists and overseeing shipments

  • Ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle

  • Overseeing and processing any rework instructions

  • Additional responsibilities may arise as needed
