As the Director of Culinary and Life Enrichment, you will shape and elevate the resident experience by delivering exceptional, pleasurable dining and engaging programs across our retirement communities.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of (13) LEMs and CSMs across multiple locations in Ontario, fostering teamwork and a culture of excellence in service delivery.
- Ensure smooth operations, enriching programming and exceptional dining experiences for residents.
- Enhance resident well-being by caring for their nutritional and dietary needs as well as programs and activities that engage and energize them. Ensure compliance with regulations and drive quality improvements, conducting site visits to evaluate performance.
- Oversee budgeting, training, and staff development.
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives that enhance resident satisfaction and community engagement.
- Foster partnerships with external organizations to expand service offerings.
- Stay informed on industry trends that improve service delivery.
What You Bring
- Degree in recreation, gerontology, hospitality, culinary services, or related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or a related field.
- Role model a customer-centered attitude, excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Expertise in program development, team leadership, and compliance.
- Proficiency in digital platforms such as Welbi & Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel between communities (valid driver's license required).
- Clear vulnerable sector screen, TB test results, and supervisory references.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment to meet the needs of the residents, including weekend and holiday coverage, as required.
