THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Case File Administrator for a 3-week temporary assignment with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for someone with experience in legal administration, social services, or records management. You will play a key role in managing sensitive documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy standards.

As a Case File Administrator, you will be responsible for reviewing, redacting, and summarizing case files, and uploading accurate information into internal systems. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential data will directly support the teams operations and ensure the timely processing of important documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct reviews of current and historical documents and records
  • Identify and confirm the information needs of each requester
  • Redact sensitive or confidential information from case files prior to release
  • If a summary is requested, review and prepare a clear, accurate summary of relevant records
  • Navigate, update, and upload information into the database
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy legislation and organizational protocols
  • Liaise with internal staff as needed to ensure accurate processing and timely responses

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant post-secondary education in administration, social services, or legal studies
  • 2-5 years of experience in an office setting, including data entry or records management
  • Experience working with confidential and/or sensitive information is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Previous experience in social services, legal disclosure, or FOI processes is a strong asset
