What Youll Do:

  • Lead and grow sales through strategic development of business relationships within the advisor channel.
  • Offer consultative advice to financial advisors, understanding their client base and providing tailored investment management solutions.
  • Ensure clients and partners are well-informed, empowering them to make confident, data-driven decisions.
  • Leverage a strong focus on education to drive success in the wholesaler role. Uphold the Picton Mahoney standard of delivering market-leading insights and thought leadership on portfolio construction, including the use of hedge funds and liquid alts to improve risk-adjusted returns.
  • Engage in sales presentations, roadshows, conferences, and investor seminars to share Picton Mahoneys expertise and strategic perspective on investment strategies, and wealth trends.
  • Foster and cultivate high-quality relationships with both current and prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional high touch service to build trust and long-term loyalty
  • Maintain detailed records within CRM, tracking interactions with clients and prospects, ensuring seamless communication and proactive engagement, enabling informed decision-making and a consistent client experience.
  • Partner closely with fellow Picton Mahoney team members across the firm, exchanging insights and collaborating to deliver exceptional client experiences that exceed expectations.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a mutual fund wholesaler, working directly with IIROC and MFDA advisors.
  • A strong academic background with a degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Must have a strong focus on education, with the ability to effectively educate clients and partners, ensuring they are well-informed and empowered to make confident decisions. This skill is a key differentiator for success in the wholesaler role.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC); CFA or CIM designation is considered an asset.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing territory assets in a competitive market.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, build strong client relationships, and execute sales strategies effectively.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts for a broad audience.
  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce and other CRM tools for tracking and managing client relationships.
  • Superior organizational skills, with the ability to develop and execute structured sales plans.
  • A deep understanding of investment products, mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and performance-driven environment.
