We are seeking a reliable and driven Back of House Attendant for Tonic Spa who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering seamless behind-the-scenes support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and communicates effectively with both managers and team members to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
You will often be one of the key BOH team members on-site, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. As such, you must be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and capable of prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision.
A core part of your role will involve clearly communicating operational priorities, such as tasks that require immediate attention, outstanding responsibilities from earlier shifts, and any ongoing events or service updates. You will be expected to relay all important updates to the team and management, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
The successful candidate will be available to work Monday through Friday primarily during the PM shifts.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain that treatment rooms are clean, operational, and compliant with health standards.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of linens, towels, robes, and spa supplies using inventory tracking systems; report low stock and coordinate timely restocks to avoid service disruption.
- Maintain back-of-house operational zones, including laundry systems and storage facilities, to ensure seamless flow of clean linens and treatment tools throughout the day.
- Support preventive maintenance routines by identifying wear and tear of spa and pool infrastructure, flagging technical issues before they impact service.
- Clearly communicate priority tasks, outstanding responsibilities requiring follow-up, and any ongoing events to ensure the team is aligned and informed. Relay all critical updates and operational information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inform manager if inventory needs reordering and organizing supplies based on category, priority, and frequency of use.
- Work with manager and cross-functional BOH teams to communicate operational priorities, room turnaround times, and workflow status during peak periods.
- Experience in spa operations, hospitality support, housekeeping, or a related technical Back of House role.
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures and maintenance best practices in wellness environments.
- Physically capable of lifting 25–50 lbs, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Technically inclined with an eye for spotting early signs of equipment wear or process inefficiencies.
- Demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and pride in delivering exceptional service behind the scenes.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
