Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Vice-President, Treasury & Capital Markets is a critical senior leadership role at goeasy, driving the financial strategy that fuels our high-growth trajectory. This hands-on executive will lead the company's treasury operations, optimize liquidity and capital structures, and spearhead capital markets initiatives to ensure goeasy maintains the financial strength and flexibility needed to scale.
As goeasy continues to expand, growing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio across multiple verticals, this leader will play a key role in securing innovative funding solutions, navigating complex financial transactions, and building a world-class treasury function. Beyond financial strategy, this role will shape the future of goeasy's capital markets approach while fostering a high-performing finance team that thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Management & Liquidity Optimization
- Lead the company's treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and capital allocation.
- Oversee and enhance treasury governance, including policies related to capital management, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and asset securitization.
- Develop and manage financial models for cash flow forecasting, ensuring optimal funding structures and alignment with business growth.
- Direct corporate cash management, including investment of excess funds, short-term borrowing, and cash flow management.
- Implement FX hedging strategies and manage non-domestic denominated debt, hedge positions, and associated cash flows.
- Maintain a deep understanding of yield profiles, bank covenants, and treasury operations, ensuring strong alignment with rating agencies and financial institutions.
- Leverage advanced data analysis and financial modeling (including complex spreadsheets) to assess funding requirements and risk scenarios.
Capital Markets & Funding Strategy
- Oversee capital markets activities, including debt financing, securitization, and structured transactions.
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, credit rating agencies, and other financial institutions.
- Work closely with the CFO on securing funding, including debt issuances and alternative financing structures.
- Develop strategies to optimize the company's financial position, ensuring financial flexibility to support business growth.
- Assess and execute funding strategies to support the company's $1B+ annual book growth, ensuring we don't overextend our balance sheet or liquidity position.
- Drive scenario planning and stress testing to evaluate potential risks associated with market shifts and interest rate fluctuations.
Financial Strategy & Risk Management
- Lead short- and long-term capital planning, providing strategic recommendations to the executive team.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements related to treasury operations.
- Monitor market trends, interest rates, and macroeconomic factors that may impact the company's capital structure.
- Support financial planning, accounting, external reporting, and taxation functions as needed.
- Provide guidance on financial risk management, ensuring strong oversight of leverage ratios and maintaining compliance with lending agreements.
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of experience in Treasury, Capital Markets, or Corporate Finance, ideally within a publicly traded company or financial institution.
- 4+ years of experience at a senior leadership level (Managing Director, VP+).
- Extensive experience managing treasury functions, debt/equity issuance, and liquidity optimization.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in capital allocation strategies.
- Deep understanding of yield profiles, bank covenants, and liquidity management, with a track record of securing innovative funding solutions.
- Experience working with rating agencies and financial institutions to align treasury strategy with corporate creditworthiness.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CA, or CFA preferred.
- Proven track record of executing capital markets transactions and managing financial structures.
- Ability to balance aggressive growth ambitions with financial discipline, ensuring sustainable funding strategies for a rapidly expanding portfolio.
