The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products along established routes. Key tasks include loading the vehicle, recording delivery details, handling payments, and ensuring vehicle safety. The driver must operate the vehicle safely, follow road rules, and adhere to company policies.Job Title: G-Driver-Delivery-Warehouse Worker Location: (Weston and Steels) North YorkHours of Work: Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay: $25.00
Duties
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various products.
  • Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
  • Deliver products over established routes.
  • Accept or make payments for goods.
  • Ensure correct loading of the vehicle.
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road.
  • Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
  • Communicate with dispatch.
  • Load and unload products safely using provided tools (e.g., dollies, lifts, etc.).
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • 2+ years of delivery driving experience (Note: Cab/Uber/food delivery experience, such as pizza driving, is not accepted).
  • Comply with all company policies regarding the delivery of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form.
  • Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that loads are secure.
  • Ensure that materials are protected from outdoor elements.
  • Deliver products and proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery issues.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including inspection logs, delivery receipts, and hours of service.
  • Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Over time as required.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds.

Additional Information
  • Ensure you have an up-to-date license, clear CVOR, and a clear criminal record.
  • Safety shoes are mandatory.
  • Must have 2+ years of Canadian driving experience; please note that cab/Uber/food delivery experience is not accepted—must be delivery truck loading and offloading.
