Job Title: Logistics Manager
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Sr. Director of Planning & Distribution
Location: Onsite, Langley, B.C.
Pay range will be dependant upon experience
The Logistics Manager oversees the supply chain operations of an organization, ensuring that products or services are delivered efficiently, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Functions Include:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations
- Coordinate and monitor the entire order cycle, from procurement to delivery
- Manage transportation, warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations
- Analyze and optimize logistical procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers
- Track delivery times, transportation costs, and other key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customs requirements
- Supervise logistics staff and provide mentorship and training
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise in the supply chain
- Manage logistics budgets and control expenses
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related area
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems and ERP software
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (CSCP, CLTD, etc.), preferred
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives, preferred
- Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies, preferred
