Service Technician

Responsibilities:

Drive to customer locations in the GTA to provide service
Perform a full range of servicing and repair procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal and retrofits on multifunctional office and production copiers/printers
Develop and maintain client relationships by providing a high level of customer service
Perform basic connected installations, set up IP addresses, download printer drivers and provide internal customer training on printing functions
Provide training on servicing and repair procedures
Monitor service requests to determine the urgency and priority sequence for the designated area
Monitor truck service parts inventory with management parts initiative
Escalate issues on a timely basis to Service Manager
Complete total calls - look at service parts wear and tear on machine and replace parts if over 100% of life
Insure the machine is cleaned after each call
Keep dispatcher aware of call completions and current location at all times
Verify the accuracy of reports and meter reads
Complete an annual review with the Service Manager
Other duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in technical field or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years related experience in technical customer service or four-year apprenticeship program in electronic servicing and repair
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn the Company's computer technologies
Customer service oriented and possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Must be willing to travel within GTA; must have own vehicle and valid drivers license
Experience working with Xerox and Canon equipment would be considered an asset
Experience with MAC computers is an asset-
Must be able to lift 30-50lbs on a regular basis
