Plant Operator – Cenovus Energy Hub
(1 Position Available) Term of Employment:Full-Time, ContinuingRate of Pay:Band 5: $34.70 – $37.94 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)Location:Cenovus Energy HubDuties:Reporting solely to the Supervisor, Plant Operations, the Plant Operator – Cenovus Energy Hub is responsible for maintaining proper maintenance logs, performing operational and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting problems on all related City facility plants.
Duties
- Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all refrigeration plant and related mechanical equipment at Cenovus Energy Hub, Russ Robertson, Archie Miller and Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of Bioclean Aquatic Center, Spray Parks, Outdoor Pool and related equipment on an as needed basis.
- Oversee the operation of refrigeration plants in Servus Sports Centre on an as needed basis.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair of refrigeration plants in Arenas.
- Oversee the operation of HVAC equipment including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in addition to other building related systems and equipment in leisure facilities.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate maintenance logs on all related facility plants.
- Participate in an On-Call rotation.
Other
- May be required to perform duties such as minor carpentry and plumbing.
- May be required to provide training of relevant tasks.
- May be required to coordinate with contractors.
- Fifth Class Power Engineering Certificate or higher standard.
- Refrigeration Mechanic Certification considered an asset.
- Completion of Saskatchewan Arena Operators Level 1 course.
- Completion of Saskatchewan Arena Operator Level 2 course is an asset.
- Pool Operators Level 1 & 2 courses an asset.
- Building Maintenance Level 1 & 2 courses an asset.
- Must be able to accommodate long periods of standing and lifting up to 22.7 kg (50lbs).
- 3 years of experience in a recreation facility is an asset.
- Current First Aid and AED certificate.
- Responsible, reliable and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions and communicate clearly and concisely.
- Capable of operating maintenance equipment and hand tools in an efficient and responsible manner.
- Computer literate – use of computers for communication, time sheet entry, monitoring BMS systems, and documentation.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan with an acceptable Driver's Abstract is required. This position may be required to operate a personal vehicle for business purposes.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
