Position Summary
We are looking for a Technical Trainer to design and deliver technical training programs for employees, clients, and end-users. The ideal candidate will have expertise in instructional design, technical concepts, and adult learning methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer. This role involves developing training materials, conducting in-person and virtual sessions, and assessing training effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Training Program Development
- Design, develop, and update technical training courses for software, hardware, and IT systems.
- Create engaging learning materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and e-learning modules.
- Tailor training programs to different audiences, including developers, system administrators, and end-users.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Conduct instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual training sessions for internal and external users.
- Utilize hands-on labs, interactive exercises, and real-world scenarios to enhance learning.
- Deliver workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching sessions as needed.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Assess learner progress and provide feedback to ensure knowledge retention.
- Gather feedback from trainees to improve training materials and delivery.
- Keep training programs up to date with the latest technology trends and industry best practices.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with technical teams to stay updated on product features and system changes.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and management to identify training needs and learning goals.
- Develop onboarding training for new employees and technical certification programs.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), AWS Certified Trainer, or Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) are an asset.
Technical Concepts & Methodologies
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software development, networking, or cloud computing.
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Familiarity with instructional design models (ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy).
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Adaptability to different learning styles and training methods.
Experience
- 3-6 years of experience in technical training, instructional design, or IT training.
- Experience in delivering both classroom and virtual training.
- Exposure to content development tools.
