PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities. We're seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Services team in Downtown Vancouver.

Because life at PARC is nothing short of extraordinary, we are seeking an individual with the same high standards to fill this position. As a Senior Accountant, play a key role in supporting the finance department with completing and maintaining a variety of accounting functions. This means:
- Assist with reconciling bank statements.
- Responsible for full cycle accounting for a group of companies, some with construction activity.
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts for group of companies by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transaction, and resolving (sometimes complex) discrepancies.
- Create and prepare financial reports for management.
- Assist with year-end working paper preparation for external accountants.
- Preparation of regulatory filings for group of companies (i.e. GST, PST, and MRDT).
- Assist with process redevelopment and improvement projects to optimize financial close and reporting process by leveraging best practices and technology.

- Degree in business or finance together with a CPA designation.
- 3 to 5 years working knowledge in accounting ideally with combination of public practice and industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and cost control principles including ASPE.
- Sound knowledge of federal and provincial financial and tax regulations.
- Able to analyze financial data and statistics and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel modeling skills.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Innovative problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess opportunities as well as risks and explore new opportunities.
- Knowledge and experience with construction accounting an asset.
- Experience with Yardi software an asset.
