Position Overview:

Were looking for a Data Engineer to architect and implement our Microsoft-based data cloud infrastructureand put it to work. This is a hands-on, in-office role at the heart of our data transformation. Youll lead the design and build of our Microsoft Fabric lakehouse environment and implement AI-driven workflows that directly support our investment, sales, and operations teams. If you're a Data Cloud Engineer with a passion for practical AI and deep experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, we want to talk.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and scale our data lakehouse architecture using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, and related Azure services
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines, standardizing data across systems into a unified model
  • Deploy AI-powered workflows using tools like Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Document Intelligence or Azure ML to automate business processes, generate insights, or deliver predictive models
  • Build internal APIs and tools that enable seamless access to data and insights across teams
  • Work with stakeholders across real estate, private equity, and corporate functions to translate business needs into data solutions
  • Own and evolve our Power BI dashboards and visualization layer to support decision-making
  • Act as a technology partner across the organizationindependently driving forward initiatives that enhance value through data and AI
    Candidate Profile:
  • Microsoft Stack Champion: Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, ADF, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, and Power BI
  • Builder, Not Just a User: Youve designed and implemented Azure data platforms from the ground upnot just maintained someone elses
  • AI Implementer: Demonstrated experience deploying AI tools (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, or equivalents) in real-world workflowsideally in investment, operations, or sales enablement use cases
  • Technical Core: Strong Python for data engineering and automation, and data modeling best practices
  • Business Translator: Ability to work directly with investment professionals, executives, and non-technical stakeholders to turn ideas into systems
  • Self-Starter & Problem-Solver: You thrive in lean environments and know how to build momentum from scratch
    Experience with financial data modeling, capital tables, investment workflows, or property operations
  • Familiarity with the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with LLM integrations, automation of document processing, or generative AI applications
