Job Overview:

As a People Operations Coordinator at Spring, you will support the day-to-day HR operations and play a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment. You will assist with various HR functions, working closely with employees and management to ensure smooth HR processes, and helping with employee inquiries, benefits administration, and more. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about HR and wants to be hands-on in supporting employees and business needs.

NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position in downtown Vancouver.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and assistance.
  • Help resolve employee concerns or conflicts, ensuring alignment with company policies and values.
  • Support with the documentation and execution of disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Manage resignation and termination paperwork, ensuring all necessary steps are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations, keeping up to date with changes.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to employees with benefits options and assist with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in our HRIS system (BambooHR).
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and activities to enhance workplace culture.
  • Manage the addition, termination, and tracking of employees in our Translink Compass Portal.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the People Operations team.

What You Should Already Have:

  • A diploma or degree in HR, or a combination of relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in HR roles.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR experience is a plus).
  • A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
