Part-time (8-20 hours/week, Monday-Saturday, 9:00am - 5:00pm)

Job Summary: As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process, providing product recommendations, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will contribute to achieving store sales goals through effective customer service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:

• • Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

Sales Generation:

• Recommend and display items that match customer needs.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.

Product Knowledge:

• • Learn about the products and services offered by the store.
  • Stay updated on product features and benefits.
  • Educate customers about the quality, features, and benefits of different products.

Stock Management:

• • Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Ensure products are stocked and neatly arranged on shelves.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.

Cash Handling and Transactions:

• • Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
  • Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer.

Store Maintenance:

• • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked, neat, and tidy.
  • Assist in light cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping.

Other

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and transactions.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Retail and plant environments
• Moderate physical demand, standing, walking, lifting up to 25lbs
