We have an immediate opening for an Industrial Electrician at our Brampton Extrusion Plant.

What You'll Do

  • Work as part of a team to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment
  • Routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components in order to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of all equipment and fixtures utilized by the organization
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications in order to provide troubleshooting and repair services when needed
  • Troubleshoot PLC issues with the equipment (Allen-Bradley)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
  • Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Work on other electrical projects as required
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
  • Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
What You Bring
  • Must have a 442A Industrial Electrician license. May consider a 309A with strong industrial manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 3 years of electrician experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
  • Knowledgeable in PLC programmable logic capabilities
  • Experience in metal processing, heavy stamping, or die casting is an asset

Working Conditions
  • Plant environment
  • Twelve hour rotating continental shift
  • Exposure to loud noise and heat
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Overtime as needed
