The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) was created in 1996 to reaffirm the principles of justice and equality for all in Canada. The CRRF's mandate is to facilitate throughout Canada the development, sharing, and application of knowledge and expertise to eliminate racism and all forms of racial discrimination in Canadian society.
The Manager, Collaboration and Relationships, Combatting Hate Hub is an experienced and skilled project manager. This individual will support the design, development and delivery of anti-hate initiatives, programs and projects aligned with the Combatting Hate Hub's mandate. The Manager, Collaboration and Relationships will be responsible for developing and managing the administration processes for funding agreements, including drafting, receiving and assessing proposals, and supporting the decision-making process. The manager will also monitor progress of projects and review key performance indicators and deliverables are met.

It is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at in-person events and meetings as needed. Staff may also be recalled working on-site as requested by the federal government. Salary$77,267-$92, 720 per annum. CRRF is a unionized workplace and the position, and its salary are subject to a Collective Agreement.
CRRF offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes three weeks of vacation, two Personal Floating Days, sick days and 4% of annual income towards RRSP plan, and life, disability, medical and dental care insurance.Probationary Period90 business days.
Responsibilities:
Project Management and Delivery:
- Work with key internal and external partners to identify programming and funding opportunities that address issues of hate.
- Innovate with community partners to support the development of proposals for anti-hate initiatives and evaluate proposals based on alignment with the Hate Hub's mandate and demonstrated key performance indicators.
- Track and update on progress to ensure all project milestones, outcomes and deliverables are met, or exceeded through regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and communication between internal and external partners.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and bring viable, implementable solutions to projects
- Prepare necessary briefs, reports and funding agreements and liaise with Finance Department to ensure compliance
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies and integrate contingencies in the project plan to support project completion
- Build and strengthen relationships with program partners and collaborators through demonstrated accountability and project management.
- Collaborate with internal partners to identify opportunities for partnerships and programming ideas.
- Report on and manage multiple projects concurrently
Other:
- Participate in conferences and present information sessions and workshops as required.
- Contribute to internal update reports for the Executive Director's Office and Board of Directors.
- Prepare briefs and reports that outline the impact of anti-hate programs and initiatives that highlight the Hub's key areas of work.
- Contribute to the implementation of CRRF's business plan by supporting the delivery of Hate Hub programs and initiatives with the guidance of other CRRF departments.
- Conduct internal and external meetings in person and virtually to deliver organizational goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree in business administration, non-profit management, philanthropy, a related field (e.g. supply chain management, social sciences and/or equivalent work experience and skills. Certification in project management or procurement, is an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing projects with funding agreements preferably within a government or Crown Corporation environment.
- Demonstrated commitments to anti-racism, valuing diversity, contributing to an inclusive working, and learning environment
- Working knowledge on ensuring compliance with funding agreements, (grants, sponsorships, contributions) and budgets
- Project management skills to plan and support the design, development , delivery management and reporting of anti-hate initiatives, programs and projects
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), to keep the Director, Combatting Hate Hub, Executive Director's Office and other colleagues informed and updated where relevant.
- Ability to undertake a wide range and variety of tasks with conflicting deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented, self-initiating, meticulously organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and other digital tools and applications. Comfortable using Zoom and other platforms as required for hosting online meetings and events.
- Ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with CRRF policies.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as required.
- Ability to travel for the purposes of project delivery.
- Proficiency in French is an asset
