We are seeking an Activities Lead for Evergreen Heights in White Rock, someone who is passionate about enhancing the lives of residents through innovative wellness programming, strong leadership, and meaningful engagement.

About The Role

As the Activities Lead, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating wellness programs that promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. • Develop and manage monthly activity calendars that reflect resident interests and community events.

  • Coordinate welcome initiatives to support a smooth transition for new residents.

  • Mentor and supervise the Activity Assistant, including scheduling and conducting performance reviews.

  • Recruit, support, and supervise volunteers to enhance program delivery.

  • Act as a liaison with external organizations to source and integrate meaningful community resources.

  • Utilize ActivityPro for planning, documenting, and evaluating activity outcomes.

  • Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial efficiency.

  • Maintain health and safety standards for all residents, volunteers, and team members.

  • Support professional development by identifying training and learning opportunities for the team.

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized degree, diploma or certificate in recreation or a related field preferred.

  • Current certification in emergency first aid – community care.

  • Class 4 driver's license or willingness to obtain one at own expense.

  • Minimum two years of experience coordinating programs for seniors or a combination of relevant education and experience.

About You

  • You're a vibrant, compassionate leader who thrives on connection and creativity. You bring energy and care to your work and are committed to supporting the holistic well-being of each resident you serve.

  • Dedicated to emotional, intellectual, physical, social, vocational, and spiritual wellness.

  • Deeply understands seniors' unique challenges, building authentic personal connections.

  • A collaborative team player and resourceful networker, engaging residents, colleagues, volunteers, and community partners.

  • Proficient in scheduling, prioritizing, and leading activities that keep residents engaged and fulfilled.

  • Works independently and collaboratively, adapting with ease to changing needs.

  • Observant and compassionate—able to recognize and respond to changes in residents' well-being.

  • Eager to grow professionally, staying current with best practices in senior care and recreation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • We provide a competitive compensation package with an annual salary ranging from $58,000 to $60,000.
