The Ganawa Company Ltd. Is a custom steel fabricator and full-service supplier for the bridge construction industry as well as a variety of other structural steel markets. We are growing and looking to add a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to our team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project lifecycle to ensure the production team delivers a quality product to customers on time and on budget. The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter and action-oriented with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a project schedule(s)
- Manage project hand-off meetings to ensure proper planning and mapping of project fabrication strategies
- Monitor project progress to identify, mitigate and resolve risks and issues that may impact project success
- Proactively liaise with internal and external teams to ensure communication and set expectations on project progress, delivery dates, issues, etc.
- Manage multiple projects in various stages of completion, depending upon size and complexity
- Define resource requirements and work with purchaser to help manage material inventory with production cue
- Follow policies, procedures, and methodologies
- Prepare and negotiate all project change orders
- Manage and coordinate all shop drawings, field drawings, and all other project details with all required parties
- Other responsibilities as required to manage and meet project deliverables
Education/Experience Required
- 3-5 years experience in Project Management, preferably in the fabrication, structural steel, or construction industry, or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication
- Solid knowledge of trades and equipment typical of a steel fabrication shop (large custom fabrication, welding, assembly)
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to dive in and figure things out
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent human relations skills with the ability to promote teamwork and resolve conflicts
- Knowledge of weld symbols, can read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Tech savvy with excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and can quickly pick-up new software programs
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Comfortable using power and hand tools
- Solid ability to schedule and manage deliverables
- Ability to resolve scheduling and technical conflicts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings and blueprints.

Compensation:
- $85,000-105,000/year, based on experience
- Group Health Benefits (company-paid premiums)
