We're looking for a motivated, quality-driven Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will ensure a clean and sanitary environment, properly manage the tools and equipment used in day-to-day tasks, and perform additional duties as assigned.

This is a seasonal and on-call position available seven days a week. The standard schedule is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may be adjusted based on hoteling operations. Hourly wage: $18.80.

You will report directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thoroughly clean all assigned areas, including waste removal, washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping, following established protocols.

  • Experience in hotel room cleaning and bed setup is required.

  • Follow cleaning procedures accurately and consistently.

  • Operate vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

  • Maintain all cleaning tools and equipment in good, safe, and working condition.

  • Organize and prioritize work assignments efficiently.

  • Understand and follow instructions; work well as part of a team.

  • Identify and report workplace hazards promptly.

  • Adapt to changes in work assignments as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in training and in-service education programs.

  • Attend scheduled meetings punctually and prepared.

  • Be available for short-notice shift coverage, overtime, and on-call needs.

  • Perform deep cleaning tasks across multiple campus buildings as assigned.

  • Complete work orders to professional standards and within designated response times.

  • Comply with all regulations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

  • Represent the department with professionalism and a positive attitude.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A great attitude!
  • At least one (2) year experience in cleaning.
  • Able to communicate with supervisor, Client and general public
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • WHIMIS certified (Training can be supplied)
  • A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
