Job Overview:

Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing commercial construction projects, with specific experience in tenant improvement (TI) and new construction projects. In particular, the candidate should have hands-on knowledge and experience in steel stud framing, drywall, painting, and finishing work. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle from pre-construction through to final completion, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects from start to finish, including tenant improvement (TI) projects and new construction, with a specific focus on steel stud, drywall, painting, and finishing work.

  • Schedule & Budget Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with the scope of work.

  • Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact between the client, design team, contractors, and subcontractors. Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations throughout the process.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all work, especially steel stud framing, drywall, painting, and finishing, is completed according to specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements.

  • Change Orders & Documentation: Manage change orders and document all project changes, ensuring that they are tracked and communicated to clients and stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance within the regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a safety-first culture on the job site.

  • Problem Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project. Adapt to changes in scope, design, or unforeseen site conditions in a proactive and efficient manner.

  • Project Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports, including cost tracking, schedule updates, and risk assessments for internal stakeholders and clients.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with specific experience in tenant improvement and/or new construction projects.

  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project etc.) for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate teams, fostering collaboration and productivity while maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to find effective solutions to challenges that arise on the job site.

  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certifications are a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
