Western Glass is looking for a qualified Project Field Coordinator to join our dynamic team.The Project Field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end project activities from initiation to implementation in the field. They will work on multiple projects while leading teams responsible for the overall delivery of each assigned project.
What Youll be Doing:

  • You will fill the gap between office staff and field employees, by providing project coordination, scheduling and implementation, and communication back to the project manager.
  • Collaborate with the team to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications in the field.
  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines and progress schedules in the field.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed on each worksite as per legislated requirements, and equipment and tools are properly maintained.
  • Ensure team monitors project materials, tools, and equipment for a project, and are brought back to Corner Brook when a project is completed.
  • Create positive relationships with suppliers, staff, and customers.
  • Support project team members in the field.
  • Provide quality assurance during the life of each project.

Travel will be required throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
What We Are Looking For:

  • Project execution skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of skilled tradespeople to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  • The knowledge and ability to ensure that the team performs a job with safety in mind, and within requirements of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Legislation.
  • Knowledge of worksite safety protocols including correct equipment setup and required safety equipment as per OHS Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively direct the project team in the field and communicate back to the Project Manager in the office.
  • The ability to correctly read blueprints and diagrams applicable for the installation of aluminum windows and automatic doors in various applications.
  • Quality assurance experience: how to effectively monitor a project, identify any issues, troubleshoot and recommend solutions, and communicate with customers and other contractors.
  • Familiarity with working in the field with a team.

Your Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an Engineering Technology Program would be ideal, but post-secondary education in a related field may also be considered.
  • Carpentry experience is considered an asset.
  • Team management experience would be considered an asset.
