About your team:You will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, B2B Sales. You'll work alongside an Outbound Account Manager and an inbound sales team comprising three Account Managers, three sales assistants, and an Inbound Account Development Representative.
We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week at our Vancouver HQ.
*Please note this is an outbound call position. Making cold calls is a requirement for the role.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and execute all outbound top-of-funnel sales activities for B2B Sales.
- Utilize prospecting tools to create lists of prospects that fit into the ideal customer profile.
- Establish first contact with new prospects to gather additional information regarding current and/or potential needs to determine account viability and growth potential.
- Contact prospects via cold calling, emailing, social selling, and in-person events, where appropriate.
- Introduce prospects to Article to convert them into qualified leads ready for Account Manager takeover.
- Proactively engage those currently in the outbound sales pipeline through activation initiatives.
- Work with the Manager, New Business to develop and track the effectiveness of outreach programs.
- Meet activity targets as set out by the Outbound Sales Program.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager, New Business to develop and implement prospecting strategies, contributing to the continuous improvement of the outbound sales playbook.
- Report on outbound program success metrics with a high level of business acumen to influence business decisions.
- Report on top-of-funnel trends and assist with recommendations to improve acquisition processes continuously.
- Research and identify potential new segments and key decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
- Optimize outbound sequences, collateral, and messaging.
- Leverage automation tools to streamline outreach efforts and improve efficiency.
- Provide regular feedback to enhance outbound messaging and strategy.
- Conduct competitor research to identify differentiation points to highlight during prospecting.
Who You Are:
- 1+ year of experience in outbound sales, business development, or related positon.
- Experience working with prospecting programs such as ZoomInfo.
- Experience using CRM/sales automation tools.
- Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role.
- Comfort and desire for cold calling and outreach.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solutions and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Completion of a criminal background check.

- The salary range is $50,000 to $63,000, there is no additional bonus or commissions. The starting salary will be determined by your transferable skills, knowledge, work experience, and the hiring team's budget, which is based on business needs, market compensation data, and internal equity
