Continental Shifts:

7:00am-7:00pm

7:00pm-7:00am

This position is Continental B Shift/Nights- 7:00pm-7:00am

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Start-up and shutdown of machines
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
• Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
• Monitor belts and machines to ensure no jams, stoppages, overall performance of machine
• Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
• Forklift Operation and staging experience
• In house training in specific roles as required
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist other operators when required

Requirements:

• Forklift experience (or be willing to do in house training)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while supporting departments where needs arise
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent attendance & punctuality
• Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
• Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs
• Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset
