We are seeking a skilled Gardener/Horticulturist to join our team. This seasonal position will complete work in the Edmonton area.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and landscaping, with experience in maintaining outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will; be passionate and have a genuine love for gardening and landscaping, have the ability to design and enhance outdoor spaces with plant selection and placement, and understands plant care, soil health, and seasonal maintenance. Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor landscapes.
• Plant annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
• Irrigate plants and maintain proper watering schedules.
• Able to troubleshoot challenges like pest control, irrigation issues, or plant health concerns.
• Prune trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth.
• Operate hand tools such as pruners, shovels, and rakes.
• Utilize power tools like lawnmowers, trimmers, and edger's.
• Perform landscape maintenance including weeding, mulching, and fertilizing.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and presentable.

Requirements

• Certification in horticulture or related field an asset.
• Proven experience in gardening or landscaping.
• CSTS 2020
• Valid Drivers License and a Reliable Vehicle.
• Knowledge of garden care techniques and plant species identification.
• Ability to operate both hand tools and power equipment efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining garden aesthetics.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Experience in landscape design would be an asset.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems an asset.
