Job purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to ensure the work performed by Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group Inc.s installation department is of the highest quality. As outlined in this job description, the expectation is for the duties, responsibilities and qualifications to be efficiently performed and for this individual to contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Duties and responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager- Installation Department include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supervise major or complex installation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project plans and specifications.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for installations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, provide guidance to installation teams, and address any issues that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all installation sites.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to installations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to support installation activities.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance installation processes and efficiency.
• Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including key metrics and performance indicators for senior management.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role managing/supervising project.
• Previous experience with managing onsite equipment installations in Material handling industry is required.
• PMP certification is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with great accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Self-starter with a high degree of integrity, sense of urgency, passion for high performance and attention to detail who thrives working in a team environment and individually.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), interpersonal skills along with innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated to succeed with the ability to build team spirit, motivate team members and encourage collaboration.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and help drive change.
• Experience in a management role within a unionized environment is an asset.

• Industrial sites may be noisy, dirty, varied temperature changes

Physical requirements

Physical requirements of this role include:

• Ability to travel
• Working at heights preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
