We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and a customer-focused security professional for the position of Security Site Supervisor (Full-Time)

The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for supporting and supervising security officers. Strong knowledge and understanding of company policies and security procedures will be required. Other operational roles and duties in a supportive capacity may be assigned from time to time.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of security staff on site.
  • Supervise assigned programs, projects, and site functions as required.
  • Coordinate activities with client employees, departments, and contractors.
  • Resolve work-related issues and submit detailed reports.
  • Conduct training in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, including completing training checklists and assessments.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance through report audits and patrol reviews.
  • Ensure proper functioning of security systems, identifying maintenance or repair needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and act as a liaison between clients and staff.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, provide support to injured workers, and complete required reports.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years of security experience
  • Valid BC Security License
  • Basic/Level 1 First Aid (Asset)
  • Class 5 Driver's License (Asset)
  • Advanced Security Training (AST) (Asset)
  • High school diploma required (Post-secondary education preferred)
  • Additional relevant certifications in supervision or personnel management are an asset

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (including phone, email and report writing)
  • Experience and demonstrated skills in conflict resolution
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making skill in sensitive situations and emergency incidents
  • Previous experience and recognizable skills in personnel management, including coaching and leadership
  • Strong computer skills (including use of Tracktik software)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
  • Strong organizing and planning skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and also without close supervision
  • Good physical condition (ability to both sit or stand for long hours)
Working Conditions:
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
  • May work independently or in a team.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
