The Role:
We are currently seeking a People & Safety Coordinator someone who is action-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is not a desk-bound management role. Youll be rolling up your sleeves every day to support hiring, employee relations, safety program compliance, and field operations across multiple business units.

This position is ideal for a high-performing generalist with a solid background in HR and safety, who is ready to take ownership of processes and help build systems that support Mosaics ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources

• Draft and post job ads, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and assist with hiring
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes
• Respond to employee concerns and help resolve issues professionally and confidentially
• Prepare and maintain employee files, contracts, policies, and disciplinary documentation
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Standards across all Mosaic companies

Health & Safety

• Oversee and maintain Mosaics internal safety program and COR certification
• Conduct employee safety orientations and coordinate required training
• Complete site safety inspections and manage client-specific safety documentation
• Monitor and ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and client safety standards
• Investigate incidents, file WCB claims, and track corrective actions

Who You Are:

• 35 years of experience in HR, safety, or related operations support
• Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
• Strong working knowledge of Alberta labour and OH&S regulations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experienced with cloud-based systems, CRMs, and digital safety/HR tools
• HR and/or safety certifications are an asset, but not required with relevant experience
• Driven, detail-oriented, and not afraid to tackle tough conversations or processes
