Heavy Duty Mechanic / 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice

We are currently seeking a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic or 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, examine, and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced computer diagnostic equipment
• Perform maintenance, adjustments, and repairs to ensure vehicles are always in top operational condition
• Operate buses for diagnostic purposes and move them as needed
• Conduct Government Inspections and maintain accurate service records
• Manage the procurement of parts and materials while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and HR procedures
• Participate in company training programs to continually enhance your skills

Requirements:

• Licensed Heavy Duty Technician; 3rd and 4th year Apprentices also considered
• Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
• Certified to perform School Bus Safety Inspections
• Manitoba Government Safety Certificate
• Hands-on exposure to diesel engines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
• Computer proficiency and health & safety knowledge
• Valid class 5 driver's license
• Willingness to workdays, afternoons, and/or weekends
