About the Role

In this new role, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting HR operations on a part-time, remote basis. Youll assist with recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration, performance reviews, time-off management, and maintaining employee records. While this is a part-time position to start, there is potential for it to convert into a full-time role as the company grows and the needs of the team evolve.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assisting with employee onboarding and ensuring smooth integration into the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Managing employee benefits, including health, dental, and wellness programs.
  • Assisting in the performance review process, including tracking performance milestones, scheduling review meetings, and helping with performance feedback and development plans.
  • Reconciling time-off records in BambooHR, ensuring that leave balances are accurate and up to date.
  • Approving employee time-off requests in VantagePoint and ensuring that time-off policies are followed.
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Providing administrative support to the HR department as needed

Our Must Haves:

  • Canadian experience, and knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia's Employment Standards Act are preferred.
    Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a human resources or administrative role (HR experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); HRIS experience is an asset.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Compensation: $23 - $35 per hour
