We are an integrated project and engineering equipment fabricator specializing in the modularized design and packaging of process, refrigeration, and rotating equipment solutions. Most of our solutions are related to the Energy Transition and carbon reduction industries. POSITION OVERVIEW:Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a Tool Crib Attendant to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). Reporting to the Senior Assembly Supervisor the tool crib attendant will be responsible for the daily issues and return of tools, liaise with vendors, stock control, recording transactions, performing tool inspections, tool etching, routine tool crib maintenance, providing support for deployment, as well as carrying out assigned tasks while following tool control procedures. This position will be responsible for the effective running of the tool crib area, where they would distribute tools to production staff as well as organize, maintain and replenish the inventory required.
Shift Schedule - 5:50-4:20 (4 days/week,10 hours/day). Overtime is as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Some previous experience in a related role
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Must be self-motivated, have leadership, planning and organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable working in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook for emails and Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets)
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):TOOL CRIB MANAGEMENTTool Logistics & Maintenance
  • Ensure Tool Crib is properly stocked and maintained
  • Prepare Tool orders for next day delivery
  • Request Supplier Quotes for New Tool Purchases
  • Keep tool inventory accurate in system
  • Tool maintenance (clean, label, test, repair, etc.)
  • Sort tooling for regrind and repair
Operations Support
  • Communication with site supervisors and project managers regarding tools
  • Assist Shop Supervisors in all areas
  • Assist in Inventory Management
  • Hand out tools and MRO items to Operators
  • Monitor and order tools and MRO items for production
  • Maintain records and inventory
  • Maintain list of outstanding items from all vendors
