- Work with CACC management team to plan for NG911 transition including operational readiness, training, communication, user acceptance testing, and monitoring.
- Delivery focused project manager who gathers and develops business and project requirements for the NG911 solution to create business case, facilitate procurement and implement solution.
- Deliver extensive knowledge of the current and emerging 911 technologies to meet needs identified by the PSAP user community.
- Leverage existing CRTC ESWG expertise to develop a plan for Ministry response to NG911.
- Demonstrated experience directing project teams (NG911 technologies SMEs) to ensure project deliverables to meet business needs and standards.
- Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed
- Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies
- Sources, selects and on-boards team members in various disciplines, clarify roles and responsibilities and set task/deliverable/performance expectations for resources that are both OPS unionized employees as well as fee for service (FFS) consultants.
- Effectively manages large project budgets and ensures a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, gating, forecasts, and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals.
- Establishes and participates in steering committee and stakeholder forums.
- Provides, project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels.

- Experience in public safety operations including dispatch centres (CACCs – Central Ambulance Communications Centres).
- Experience in details of the methods identification and assessment of business policy implications and the development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans as it related Canadian NG911 implementation.
- Experience in details of the methods identification and assessment of operational impacts and the development of strategies and contingency plans as it related Canadian NG911 implementation.
- Informed ministry best practices/industry standards to have an informed implementation of NG911
- Experience with 911 sector regarding policy and operational changes required for NG911

MUST HAVES:
- Demonstrated experience leading projects that involve system vendor management, issues management, and system integration across multiple vendor solutions.
- Knowledge of system and operational standards applied in Public Safety Answering Points (PSASPs) in Ontario,
- Understanding proposed NG911 solution requirements and business standards, experience with the development of technical requirements and specifications for procuring and implementing Canadian Compliant-standards-based technology to support NG911 platform and systems.
