Here's the role

The Business Analyst helps the team understand customer behaviours and success of services. This role analyzes complex information or problems, connects the information into technical requirements, and translates them into actionable tasks. This position is key in working cross functionally across the business to support and ensure solutions are delivered with a solid understanding of current environment and targeted outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

•Provides technical knowledge and expertise across the business.
•Analyze customer and business problems as requested for future and current solutions.
•Conducts current state customer and user analysis and provides insights, technical requirements, and recommendations on potential solution options.
•Provides gap analysis insights on current and future processes and technologies.
•Collect and evaluate data to measure successful outcomes of delivered solutions.
•Generates and analyses user data and makes recommendations for investigation and improvements.
•Incorporates stakeholder's business needs into customer focused solutions.
•Identifies the opportunity for changes and process improvements

•Analytical Thinking: Strong data and trend analysis skills to identify gaps and opportunities; quickly and effectively solves problems and recalls information to discuss the historic trends of past decision making.
•Communication: Understands and communicates with a variety of stakeholders to ensure a variety of perspective are heard; approaches problems and recommendations with collaboration as the primary driver; listens thoughtfully to clients and stakeholders; has a well-defined sense of diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and is politically and culturally sensitive.
•Results Oriented: Focuses on desired outcomes, sets high expectations and pushes towards attaining milestones; looks for opportunities, and consistently moves to action.
•Customer Focus: Shows a strong commitment to satisfying the needs of internal and external customers; ensures an optimal outcome for both internal and external customers.

Education & Experience

•Post-secondary education in related field of study or equivalent combination of experience and education.
•2+ years of experience working as a business analyst or equivalent role
•Insurance industry experience is considered an asset
