Position Overview:
Were looking for a talentedProduction Designer to join our Creative Services team to assist with transforming concepts into exceptional designs, while ensuring precision and consistency in every print-ready deliverable!
As a Production Designer, you will transform written and verbal concepts into high-quality designs that exceed expectations. You will also be responsible for preparing files for print production, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality products in alignment with brand guidelines, client specifications, and project requirements
- Develop advertisements and ad pages for publications
- Prepare and assemble products for print production
- Conduct preflight checks, edit and impose files for output, and ensure final quality control
- Create personalized designs using the in-house Image Engine through Salesforce
- Maintain proofing protocols to uphold product integrity
- Conduct image research to support design projects
- Consistently meet deadlines and manage production schedules efficiently
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of print design experience, with corporate or agency experience preferred
- Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field is required
- Proven experience in both web and print design
- Strong knowledge of printing and web design requirements, procedures, and workflows
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in digital pre-press operations is preferred
- Experience in magazine publishing for print is an asset
- Strong conceptual skills with an eye for typography, balance, proportion, and color
- Previous experience in copywriting experience is an asset
- Strong command of English spelling and grammar skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Salary: From $54,000 annually
Work Schedule & Location:This is a full-time Monday-Friday role that is located onsite at our office in Richmond, BC.
