As a Preparation Painter on our Paint Shop team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles have a flawless, professional finish. You will be responsible for surface preparation, sanding, polishing, and masking while following strict quality and safety standards. Your attention to detail will help us maintain our reputation for excellence, and your work will be essential in delivering a premium final product.

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, polishing, priming, and masking as required.
• Operate hand and power tools such as palm sanders, polishers, and masking equipment to achieve a smooth, even surface.
• Ensure first-time quality by following precise preparation techniques, reducing the need for rework.
• Work collaboratively with painters and other production team members to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Follow blueprints, process sheets, and instructions to prepare each unit to exact specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Monitor and report any surface defects or inconsistencies before the painting process begins.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment.

• Experience in surface preparation, painting, or autobody work is an asset, but we are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Basic knowledge of paint processes, including sanding, priming, and masking techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with precision.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power equipment commonly used in paint preparation.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment.
