About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated intermediate electrical engineer to join our dynamic team. As an intermediate electrical engineer, you must possess a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards, and can work independently on moderately complex projects. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer but are expected to take ownership of their tasks and provide guidance to junior engineers. Your responsibilities will include:
Primary Responsibilities
Perform electrical engineering calculations and analysis, including load calculations, short circuit, and protective device coordination studies.
Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and codes.
Quality control and quality assurance of the electrical design documents.
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
You have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
You have 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design.
P'Eng in the province of Ontario.
Having P'Eng Quebec and New Brunswick are strong assets.
You have strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Being bilingual (French and English) is a strong asset.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g., OESC, CEC, OBC, NBC, NFPA, etc).
You are a good communicator
You are a person who takes responsibility to achieve the organizational goals and ensure all requirements of the organization is met.
You are a person of strong character and you have a willingness to learn the skills necessary to be successful in your leadership role.
You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
General
Must provide clean criminal record and drivers abstract
Valid Drivers license.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range $80,000 to $105,000 based on experience
