We specialize in cell biology, molecular biology, and genetic research, offering innovative solutions to support scientific discovery.

As part of our rapid business expansion, we are looking for a detail-oriented Cell Biology Assistant to join our dynamic Cell Biology Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of our extensive cell line inventory and database.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain cell line inventory and database to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Perform routine cell line maintenance, including cell culture, cryopreservation, and viability testing.

Track cell line availability, usage, and storage conditions.

Ensure accurate documentation of cell line characteristics, including passage numbers, growth conditions, and contamination status.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.

Implement and improve inventory tracking systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Prepare reports on inventory status and provide insights to support production and R&D activities.

Support the production and shipping of cell line products and customer orders.

Support process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with lab safety guidelines.

Monitor and maintain lab equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Biology or other Life Science fields

Keen interest in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or relevant fields

Experience in mammalian cell culture is an asset

Excellent organization skills, high attention to details and good prioritization of responsibilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Location

  • Onsite at our headquarters in Richmond, BC.
  • The successful candidate must be available to start onsite from the first day of employment. No relocation allowance will be provided.
