DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the accurate processing of weekly payroll for all employees efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information and salary details.
  • Verify timekeeping records and ensure compliance with company policies as well as Federal and Provincial legislation as it relates to deductions, taxes and benefits.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and audits.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Ability to assist with the interpretation of data and preparation of payroll reports for management review and analysis.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for payroll administration to improve efficiency and accuracy.

PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping and financial calculators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, managers, clients and vendors.
  • Willingness to join and participate with a positive attitude.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Enrollment or Final Certification in Payroll Compliance Profession (PCP) Designation from recognized institute would be considered an asset.
  • 3+ years' experience in payroll processing and/or administrative roles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) would be preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of various financial platforms.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • 40 Hour work week (Additional Overtime may be required)
  • Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
  • Benefits and RRSP Contribution
  • Permanent Full-Time
