Position Overview:
Forum is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to join our Technology team at our Toronto office. The ideal candidate will be flexible and capable of wearing many hats, with a strong foundation in full-stack development and a specialization in data engineering and ETL pipeline development. This role will focus on developing, integrating, and optimizing internal tools, automations, and API integrations, contributing to the consolidation of data into a common data platform like Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) with a Medallion Architecture. Additionally, the role involves leveraging AI technologies, including OpenAI APIs, to create custom solutions. Please note that this is a full-time, in-office position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications supporting internal teams.
Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
Implement Microsoft Fabric solutions, ensuring scalable and efficient data architecture.
Automate financial modeling and reporting workflows using Python and cloud-based tools.
Develop AI-powered applications and API integrations, including OpenAI or other LLM APIs, to enhance internal processes.
Create data visualization tools and dashboards to support decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders across real estate, private equity, and corporate divisions to deliver technology- driven solutions.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in full-stack development, including React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and backend technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Medallion Architecture) is a major asset.
Expertise in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and database management.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and web scraping.
Experience with API integrations, including OpenAI or other LLM APIs.
Cloud computing experience (Microsoft Azure preferred).
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work on diverse projects.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge or interest in finance or real estate is a plus.
