Must be able to read, speak, and understand English and must be a resident of Canada.
Job Type: Part-time
Responsibilities:
- Preparing ingredients, such as chopping, portioning, and storing food.
- Operated kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Preparing meals according to Banque Event Orders (BEO)
- Work with other kitchen staff to ensure a high-quality guest experience
- Monitoring supply inventory and placing orders
- Ensuring the kitchen and cooking equipment are clean
- Mix drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Serve drinks to customers, collect payment for drinks, clean the bar area, and wash glassware, while followingliquor laws and regulations.
Schedule:
6 - 8 hour shifts
Banquets: Day shift, evening shifts, holidays and weekends if needed.
Cafe: 4:30 am to 1:00 pm weekdays / 6:00 am to 1:00 pm weekends
Skills & Qualifications
Valid Serving It Right and Food Safe Level 1 certifications (required).
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical effort, such as restocking and cleaning.
Quick thinking and ability to resolve customer concerns or operational challenges efficiently.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
