POSITION SUMMARY:
The Import Production Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the fashion supply chain; follow up with external and internal supply chain links to ensure key milestones in the production critical path are met to ensure timely delivery of samples and bulk production. This position is the critical hub in the supply chain communication network; they must ensure that communication is addressed on a timely basis and that follow up tools such as critical path calendars are kept updated and any potential problems and/or delivery delays are addressed with management.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily communication and meetings with Senior Sales Advisor and over seas vendors.
  • Complete and acquire all necessary documentation (AUX Package, Cotton Policy, etc) to submit to Costco to generate a TRF Application.
  • Create Trim Booklet to be submitted to buyer for approval and maintain all necessary updates and resubmits (if necessary)
  • Review and comment on fabric qualities, lab dips, strike-off, labelling with Senior Sales Advisor.
  • Create submission parcels (once reviewed with Senior Sales Advisor) to Buyer for approvals.
  • Ensure that orders are aligned to customer quality standards, testing manuals and guidelines to ensure compliancy upon shipping goods.
  • Effectively communicate approvals to the supplier once confirmed by the Buyer.
  • Follow-up and maintain delivery with supplier. Update daily critical path import tracker.
  • Ensure TRF inspections of Durpo Selections are on track and internal pre-checking inspections are completed prior to 3rd Party appointments.
  • Review and comment fit, license samples, pre-production, TOP samples in a timely manner or submit to customer where applicable for approval.
  • Ensure to acquire photoshoot samples prior to pre-production samples in order to create lifestyle hangtag and web content.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years background managing Production start to finish.
  • Must understand the document requirements and testing regulations for Production.
  • Post-secondary education in Fashion related programs or a related field such as Fashion Design, Marketing, or Apparel Design is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of garment construction, safety regulations (children's wear) and labeling components.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe programs.
