Job: Water Treatment Operator/Labourer - Remote Camp

About Us: Tamatta Mining & Construction is seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Operator to join our team and support one of our esteemed clients in maintaining high-quality water treatment standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a Desalination reverse osmosis plants, including Clean-In-Place (CIP) processes.
- Track and order necessary consumables, parts, supplies, and tools to ensure 24/7 plant operations.
- Monitor flow meters, gauges, and recording instruments to assess water output, consumption levels, bacterial content, and chlorine levels.
- Operate computerized control systems in water filtration and treatment plants to regulate water treatment and distribution.
- Inspect plant equipment and systems to identify malfunctions and ensure normal operation.
- Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content.
- Analyze test results and instrument readings; adjust plant equipment and systems as required.
- Provide instructions for process control changes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct security checks on plant and grounds.
- Address customer complaints regarding water quality issues.
- Complete and maintain accurate plant logs and reports.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or support skilled tradespersons in machinery installation and repair.
- Measure, mix, and transport chemicals for feed stock maintenance as needed.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a construction field or camp position.
- Registered 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice is required.
- Gasfitter "B" ticket is highly desired.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining water treatment or desalination systems, oil & gas, or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Familiarity with pumps, motors, rotating equipment, and sensors.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with RO projection and data normalization programs is a plus.
- Commitment to quality, empathy, creativity, and rigor in work.
Assets:
- Experience in marine/ocean environments, cleantech, and/or instrumentation.
- MOC certification and WHMIS training.
Environment & Working Conditions:
- Willingness to travel to remote project sites on a rotational basis.
- Frequent work on the water.
